Nancy King MS, RD, CDN
Nancy’s passion for nutrition and health sciences lead her to achieve a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University at Buffalo in 2010. After completion of her undergraduate degree, Nancy continued to study nutrition sciences at The Sage Colleges in Troy where she completed her Master of Science in Applied Nutrition as well as her Dietetic Internship in 2015. Nancy is a Registered Dietitian and New York State Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and has been members of the Pediatric and Renal Practitioners Groups.
Prior to being a dietitian, Nancy worked over 10 years in food service where she developed strong communication and leadership skills working in various levels of management. She also worked as a wellness coach at a community health center where she motivated and educated members in leading a healthy lifestyle by encouraging healthy eating and physical activity.
Currently Nancy works as a clinical dietitian for a small community hospital. She is able to provide nutrition care for a wide range of individuals from pediatric to geriatric patients with numerous nutritional needs including weight management and diabetes. She also provides nutrition education and counseling to outpatients participating in cardiac rehabilitation and prenatal patients who attend the hospital pregnancy center. Nancy also provides wellness presentations to local groups in the community.
